This is a premium quality Oscietra caviar produced in Belgium. The Oscietra caviar originates from the Russion Sturgeon (Acipenser gueldenstaedtii).
Upon opening a tin of this variation of caviar you will notice that it has an black - grey tone. Oscietra caviar's are popular amongst caviar lovers due to its distinct nutty notes and can be enjoyed in a variety of ways, on its own or accompanied.
The Belgium Oscietra is farmed using channelled water from natural rivers and reservoirs. One would notice that these particular caviars have a clean taste and may not be as fishy as compared to other caviars farmed in Europe. this is due to the cleaning process used in the later stage where the fish are transferred or kept in pens/tanks where the water is pumped and pure. This allows any soil or river elements to be removed, ensuring there is no adverse taste that would affect the flavour of the caviar.
